On December 2, 2021, the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) will be hosting a joint webinar on the use of biologics in foot and ankle surgery. The webinar will consist of presentations from respected experts on both sides of the topic, as well as case studies and a discussion/Q&A session.<br /><br />The webinar is targeted towards experienced foot and ankle surgeons, generalist orthopaedic surgeons looking to expand their practice into foot and ankle, post-residency fellows and residents treating foot and ankle problems, and allied health professionals in foot and ankle care.<br /><br />The objective of the webinar is to help participants understand the mechanism of action and rationale behind modern biologics, appreciate the evidence base and controversies surrounding their use in foot and ankle surgery, and identify practical applications of these surgical adjuncts.<br /><br />The webinar is free for AOFAS members and orthopaedic residents/fellows, thanks to funding from the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation with support from Arthrex Inc. and Stryker.<br /><br />Attendees will have the opportunity to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for their participation. The AOFAS is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide CME for physicians, and this live webinar is designated for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.<br /><br />Disclosure of conflicts of interest is provided in the document, including financial relationships between faculty, planners, and commercial interests.
