Physician Wellness Series Recorded Webinars
Peer Support
There is a strong role for peer support in promoting physician wellness and decreasing burnout.  However, barriers to presence and/or use of peer support programs exist.  This course will demonstrate the importance of such programs and show participants how to take advantage of them and/or implement one effectively.

Physician Suicide
This webinar will present information on suicide demographics, identification of physicians at risk and signs of suicidal intent, and strategies for understanding and addressing this problem. Faculty will discuss personal and collective journeys dealing with suicide for increased awareness, empathy, and support to prevent suicide. Attendees will have the opportunity to post questions anonymously for the panel.

Second Victim Syndrome
Second victims are healthcare providers who are involved in an unanticipated adverse patient event, medical error, and/or a patient-related injury and become victimized in the sense that the provider is traumatized by the event. Involvement in medical/surgical errors can have a lasting impact on healthcare providers, including lack of concentration, burnout, depression, poor memory, decreased clinical confidence, and impaired work performance. This webinar will discuss second victim syndrome and how to cope with difficult complications and unhappy patients.
