Recorded Webinar: Mentoring in a Diverse Workforce
Mentoring in a Diverse Workforce

Diversity encourages stronger leadership and better all-around performance, yet it is well-known that orthopaedic surgery lacks diversity. To promote a diverse workplace, mentoring must occur from the bottom up – by increasing early exposure to women and minority students at the high school and college level – and from the top down – by engaging our peers and faculty to set and continuously re-evaluate goals at the leadership level.

In this webinar, faculty from the AOFAS, RJOS, and JRGOS will discuss how orthopaedic surgeons can facilitate diversity in the specialty, and ultimately elevate patient care and engagement in the community.

Access is complimentary for AOFAS, RJOS, and JGROS members and all orthopaedic residents and fellows! Nonmembers must set up an account to for acesss, and use the invitation code provided by your organization.

At the end of this webinar, you will be able to:

- Understand the underrepresentation of women and minorities in orthopaedic surgery
- Understand the importance of diversity in any workplace
- Gain resources to introduce women and minorities to orthopaedic surgery early

- Understand the importance of having women and minorities at the leadership level

The 2019 Physician Wellness Webinar Series is provided free to AOFAS, RJOS and JRGOS members and orthopaedic residents/fellows with funding from the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation, supported in part by Wright Medical Group N.V.
