Live Webinar: The Diagnostic, Prognostic, and Therapeutic Use of Ultrasound in Foot and Ankle Practice
The Diagnostic, Prognostic, and Therapeutic Use of Ultrasound in Foot and Ankle Practice

Tuesday, July 30, 2019
8:00 - 9:00 pm CT

Faculty: L. Daniel Latt, MD, PhD; John S. Reach Jr., MD, MSc

Though ultrasound has become popular in many medical subspecialties, most foot and ankle surgeons have not yet embraced this technology. This webinar will explore the diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic use of point of care ultrasound, and the potential benefits for foot and ankle practices and patients.

At the conclusion of this webinar, you will be able to:

  • List three disorders for which the use of point of care ultrasound could help the foot and ankle surgeon make a diagnosis and initiate immediate treatment without the need for referral and return appointment

  • Understand the potential use of function imaging with ultrasound for determining prognosis and aiding in treatment decision making

  • Describe three common office procedures that benefit from the use of ultrasound

Registration for this webinar is FREE for AOFAS members and all orthopaedic residents and fellows. All other nonmembers may participate for $59. Nonmember residents and fellows must fax program verification to 847-692-3315 prior to registering.
