Description
There is a strong role for peer support in promoting physician wellness and decreasing burnout. However, barriers to presence and/or use of peer support programs exist. This course will demonstrate the importance of such programs and show participants how to take advantage of them and/or implement one effectively.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this webinar, you will be able to:
- Articulate the importance of peer support to physician well-being
- Recognize if a peer support program exists at their institution
- Take advantage of peer support
- Create programs at their institutions if they do not currently exist
Target Audience
This course is designed for the experienced foot and ankle surgeon, the generalist orthopaedic surgeon interested in expanding their scope of practice into foot and ankle, post-residency fellows and residents who treat acute and chronic problems of the foot and ankle, and allied health professionals who work in foot and ankle care.
