Nasef

Dr. Nasef Mohamed Nasef, a Professor of Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery in Cairo University is considered as one of the top-rated Orthopedics Surgeons in the Middle East and certainly in Egypt.
Dr. Nasef specializes in Orthopedic reconstructive foot and ankle surgeries, sports injuries, and joint deformities correction. His special field of interest is orthopedic sports-related injuries and their treatment using sophisticated advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques with the aim of restoring damaged articular surfaces, bones, ligaments and tendons back to their normal status. Another field of interest and practice is the use of minimally invasive techniques to correct a whole spectrum of foot and ankle pathologies.
Dr. Nasef has been involved in the treatment of national and international professional athletes, successfully enabling them to return to their pre-injury level of performance.
He has over 50 peer reviewed publications and several book chapters in multiple high-ranking Orthopedic journals. He is also a reviewer for several esteemed journals most notably the Foot and Ankle international, Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American journal of Sports Medicine. 
Dr. Nasef was the First Non-European and first Egyptian to become Member of the AFAS section of the ESSKA (Member of Association of Foot and Ankle surgeons’ section of European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy). He currently serves as the Chair of the ISAKOS Leg, Foot and Ankle Committee (2025-2027). Also, he is an active member of the Educational Committee of the AOFAS (American orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society). Additionally, he is also an active member of the SICOT Foot and ankle Committee. 
He was also selected to be the first Non-European and first Egyptian to become an ESSKA and an ISAKOS Accredited Teacher and Educator. 


Dr. Giza is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Chief of the UC Davis Orthopaedic foot and ankle service and the UCD/Reno Orthopaedics Foot & Ankle Co-Fellowship director.  He specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopy and complex reconstruction of the foot and ankle. Dr. Giza is a former collegiate soccer player and has served as an assistant team physician for the United States Soccer Federation. He has also served as a medical information consultant and research committee chair for America’s highest-level professional soccer league. Dr. Giza attended Temple Medical School and completed his residency training at the Harvard Orthopaedic Combined program. Dr. Giza completed fellowships in both Foot & Ankle and Sports MedicineDr. Giza currently serves as an official team physician for the Sacramento Republic FC professional men's soccer team.Dr. Giza’s research interests include cartilage transplantation, arthroscopic approaches to lateral ligament stabilization, and Achilles tendon repair. He has published book chapters and journal articles on a range of Orthopaedic topics.  Dr. Giza has a vast international speaking experience, and has presented and chaired meetings of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, International Cartilage Repair Society and the Major League Soccer Sports Symposium.

Who Should Attend?

This educational program is designed for orthopaedic surgeons, physicians, and allied health practitioners in the field of orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery.

A need for this educational activity has been determined based on previous course evaluations and the AOFAS educational curriculum.
